THINNER BAGS, SAME STRENGTH A common misconception: Thicker = stronger. We unwrapped this myth and found that this was not the case. The majority of recycled material in the EU is from pallet wrap, silage wrap or farm film. These materials are fairly contaminated and also have a layer of adhesive on them. This makes them gritty and alongside the addition of chalk which actually weakens polythene bags, makes the refuse sacks appear a lot thicker and heavier than other higher grades of recycle material sacks. Our CHSA approved bags are only made of higher grade recycled materials, include no adhesive and no chalk. This is what makes them up to 50% thinner yet just as strong.
