GOOD TO GO SAFETY

GOOD TO GO SAFETY

UNIVERSAL STATUS TAG

Attach to workplace equipment (usually at the point of entry) and advise employees when the equipment is safe to use or quarantined following an inspection. Unlike other tagging systems this tag has been designed to attach to all types of equipment. The channelled base allows a flush fitting onto scaffold tubes and the small sleek design ensures that it doesn’t interfere with daily equipment use. Due to being manufactured from tough, durable, UV stable, weather resistant polypropylene it can withstand harsh condition - whether attached to fixed scaffolding during a thunderstorm or attached to a ladder being tossed around in the back of a van, this status tag can resist it all. The highly visible yellow design ensures staff are reminded to complete pre-use checks. When the tag is empty the window displays a “Do Not Use” message - this means an inspection has not been completed and the equipment should not be used. Once an inspection has been completed the status tag holds the top sheet of the checklist and the window will display the date and the equipment’s status. The design includes two sleeves to enable cable tie attachment. Four holes for riveting or screwing onto equipment and the design is lightweight enough to ensure that adhesive can be used as a fixing option.

INSPECTION CHECK BOOKS Each of the Good to Go Safety Check Books have been specifically designed to provide comprehensive inspections for workplace equipment in order to help meet the relevant legislation, industry guidelines and best practice. Each check book includes 25 inspections. Once an inspection has been completed, the top sheet (white) is removed from the book, folded at the prompted lines and placed inside the tag to display the current status of the equipment...either “Do Not Use” or “Good to Go”. The secondary sheet (yellow) is a carbon copy which should be retained within the book. Carbon copies can provide invaluable evidence of your Safe Equipment Management System (SEMS) history in the event of an accident. Every check list requires a name, details of the asset in question and lists a series of questions regarding the asset. Each checklist has a unique sequential number to aid audits and management documentation. Useful guidance can be found within the inside sleeve of the Check Book to help highlight what inspectors should be looking for during the inspection.

HOW IT WORKS One of the many reasons why people like to use Good to Go Safety is its simplicity and ease to integrate into a company’s safety and maintenance programme. Simply attach a tag to the relevant equipment and select the appropriate check book to start carrying out the inspection at a frequency of your choice. Inserting the completed checklist into the tag on the equipment provides a clear visual breakdown of what was checked and when – removing any assumptions or uncertainties. A duplicate copy is retained in the book for management records and providing invaluable evidence in the event of an accident.
