NEAR MISS REPORTING The HSE defines a near miss as ‘an event not causing harm, but one that has the potential to cause injury or ill health’. This can include dangerous occurrences that are reportable, as defined in the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR).
NEAR MISS RECORD BOOK
NEAR MISS RECORD BOOK STATION
This Near Miss Record Book contains clear guidance on what a Near Miss Incident is, the employers and employee’s responsibility and guidance on completing a record. Near miss records are used to inform management of incidents, to help ensure that serious injuries and accidents do not occur in the future. The perforated top allows forms to be easily removed from the book for safe storage / management records.
A near miss record book is an ideal way to keep track of incidents that had the potential to result in injury, allowing you to improve your health and safety measures and policies in the future. Ensure your employees make good use of the record book by wall-mounting it with this useful station (pre-drilled for easy mounting). A printed “missing” message is displayed on the station and will show when the book has been removed. (Books ordered separately).
